December 2016 AKC National Championship week, Orlando, Florida

Ch. Bazinga A Storm Of Swords "Storm" finished his US Champion title in style on his first try/show in Orlando, Florida, by going Winners Dog, Best Of Winners and BOS over specials for a 5-point major under Mr. Gareth Morgan-Jones! His litter sister Ch. Bazinga A Dream Of Spring For Mia "Summer" won Best Of Breed in a nice entry!

The next day Storm was shown as a special for the first time, and went BOS once again for a 5-point grand championship major!!! Litter sister Summer won BOB once again! Summer finished as Number ONE Pharaoh Hound (breed system) in the USA for 2016!!!! Huge congratulations to Summer's owners Pam Haig & Robert Newman, and to Summer's talented handler Grahm Miller!

December 10th 2016, Helsinki Winner Show 2016, Finland

One of our highlights every year - the winner shows in Helsinki, Finland! Only two Bazinga Pharaoh Hounds were entered in a quality entry of 22 Pharaoh Hounds from Finland, Norway, Russia & Sweden under Mr. Perttu Ståhlberg (Finland) - and we did the double!

Ch. Bazinga A Storm Of Swords "Storm" won Best Male, CACIB & the Helsinki Winner title, and his sister Ch. Bazinga A Song Of Ice And Fire "Isla" won Best Bitch, CACIB & the Helsinki Winner title! Storm was finally BOS and Isla was BOB.

The group was judged by Mr. Markku Kipinä (Finland). Isla showed beautifully and to our big surprise she went on to WIN the group! We were speechless...

Best In Show was judged by Mr. Stefan Sinko (Slovenia). The Best In Show line-up was truly power-packed, so we had absolutely no expectations. We were simply glad to be in the ring together with such star quality dogs. Isla was a pleasure to show, and she really got to show off her beautifully balanced, ground-covering gait in the huge main ring. We enjoyed every second of it! And we were absolutely thrilled when the speaker announced that Isla won Best In Show 3rd - in an entry of 6700 dogs!!! Huge congratulations to Isla's owner Emilia Kanerva! Isla finished the year as Number ONE Pharaoh Hound in Finland!

November 21st 2016, Norwegian Winner Show 2016, Lillestrøm, Norway

What a day! 11 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mr. Harto Stockmari, Finland, at the Norwegian Winner Show (7000+ entries in total) in Lillestrøm. Izzie went BOB and gained her third (!) Norwegian Winner title at 7,5 years of age! Her son Storm went BOS, defending the title Norwegian Winner title for the second year in a row!

Bazinga Behold The Dragon's Inferno "Santana" made her show debut today (4,5 months old) , and went all the way to BEST IN SHOW BABY at the Danish Winner Show! Total entry of over 6000 dogs. Breed judge was Monika Blaha, and the BIS Baby judge was Hanne Laine Jensen. Way to go, baby Santana! :)

September 24th 2016, Høstprøven Trøgstad, Norway & LC trial in Finland

Ch. Bazinga A Storm Of Swords "Storm" was 1/5 with his crowning Norwegian lure coursing CC at the International LC trial in Trøgstad today, making him a Norwegian, Swedish & Finnish lure coursing champion!!!

September 16-17th 2016, St. Louis, MO, USA - PHARAOH HOUND CLUB OF AMERICA NATIONAL WEEKEND

Ch. Bazinga A Dream Of Spring For Mia "Summer" won BOS in a quality entry at the Pharaoh Hound Club of America National Specialty on Friday September 16th under Debra Thornton! The following day she won BOB in an entry of 38 Pharaoh Hounds under respected judge Bill Shelton! She went on to win a Group 3rd! Congratulations, Pam, Robert & Grahm!

Meanwhile in Finland, her sisters Bazinga A Feast For Crows "Halla" & Bazinga A Song Of Ice And Fire "Isla" competed at a racing competition, placing 1st and 2nd respectively! Halla even won the title JK-16. On Sunday, Isla & Halla competed at a lure coursing trial in Finland, at which Isla placed 1st with her 5th and crowning Finnish lure coursing CC, making her a Finnish LC Champion and TRIPLE CHAMPION!!! Halla was 2nd with her very first Finnish LC CC! Congrats, Emilia & Henna-Kaisa!

September 4th 2016, Helsinki Group Show, Finland

Bazinga A Feast For Crows "Halla" gained her third and crowning CC today, finishing her Finnish Champion title! She also won Best of Breed (4 PHs entered). She is now the sixth champion in our litter of seven (Bazinga A-litter). Congratulations to Halla's owner, Henna-Kaisa Wigren!

September 2nd 2016, FCI World Racing Championship, Toulouse, France

Ch. Bazinga A Song Of Ice And Fire "Isla" won the Gold Medal at the FCI World Racing Championship in France today, and can add the "World Racing Champion 2016" title to her name. Way to go, Isla & Emilia!!!

August 14th 2016, International KC Show, Lillehammer, Norway

Ch. Bazinga A Storm Of Swords "Storm" won Best Of Breed at the International KC Show in Lillehammer today under Mr. Martin Croeser, South Africa. His sister Penny, Ch. Bazinga A Game Of Thrones, won Best Bitch 1st & BOS with her crowning CACIB, making her an International Champion! :-) Storm was shortlisted in a very competitive group (group judge Geir Nordahl Pedersen).

Today one of the biggest Pharaoh Hound specialties worldwide was held, the official "Farkkushow" specialty in Finland, with 33 Pharaoh Hounds entered under breed specialist Mrs. Annette Bystrup from Denmark... And I am happy to announce that

In the competition against the BOB winning Ibizan Hound smooth (18 entries) and wire (3 entries), Isla was placed BIS-1! Huge congratulations to owner Emilia Kanerva!

This is the second year in a row that a Pharaoh Hound from kennel Bazinga wins Specialty BIS at this prestigious specialty, as Ch. Bazinga A Storm Of Swords "Storm" went SBIS (and BIS-1) last year under Mrs. Gabriela Veiga, Portugal, in an entry of 55 PHs (and 26+8 Ibizan Hounds).

Ch. Bazinga A Game Of Thrones "Penny" was Best Of Breed with A Polish CAC and CACIB at an International Dog Show in Krakow, Poland, on her way home from the European Coursing Championship in Slovakia. Thanks to Astrid Joensen for handling her!

February 15th 2016, 140th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, New York City, USA

16 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Barbara G. Pepper, USA, at the prestigious Westminster KC Dog Show in New York. Two Bazinga Pharaoh Hounds were entered, and they did not disappoint us!

Summary of 2015

2015 has been nothing less than an incredible year for us... both on the coursing fields and in the show rings!

The year started out with Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City, where Ch. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" was Best of Opposite Sex with a 4-point major from the Bred-By Exhibitor Class, and his litter sister US GCh. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" was BEST OF BREED, as the first Pharaoh Hound bitch to win the breed at WKC in 10 (!) years!

Ch. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" had yet another amazing year in the show rings, and made an incredible debut year on the coursing fields. He finished his International, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Danish Champion titles during the year. He won Group 1st at Bergen INT KC Show in Norway, and won multiple other group placements at the Norwegian KC Shows.

In August Storm won Specialty Best In Show at the official Finnish Pharaoh Hound breed specialty, which had the biggest Pharaoh Hound entry in the world during 2015 - 55 entries! A few weeks later he won Specialty Best In Show at the Norwegian Podenco Specialty (breed specialty for Pharaoh Hounds, Ibizan Hounds, Cirnechi, Podenco Canario and the Podengo Portugues breeds - 80 entries). He even won Specialty Best Of Opposite Sex at both (!) Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialties this year.

On the coursing field, Storm won CCs from Norway, Sweden and Finland, and will hopefully win his crowning CC during 2016 (the CCs must have been won during two separate years for the champion title). Storm's biggest accomplishment during 2015, for me personally, was when he became a FCI European Coursing Champion 2015 in Finland in June in truly stiff competition, following in his dam's pawprints as Izzie won this title in the Netherlands in 2011.

During the course of the year, Storm won other titles such as: Norwegian Winner 2015, Danish Winner 2015 and Helsinki Winner 2015. He ended the year as:

Ch. Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" had a great year on the fields and in the show rings as well. She finished her International, Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Danish Champion titles during 2015, and won multiple lure coursing CCs in Norway, Sweden and Finland.

She was BOB at the Norwegian Winner Show 2015, and a few weeks later she went BOB and Group 2nd at Herning INT KC show in Denmark, finishing both her C.I.B.-title and Danish Champion title at this show (app. 4000 entries in total). She was also Best Bitch 2nd in a lineup of app. 30 bitches at the Finnish Pharaoh Hound specialty!

Ch. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" (exp. USA) had yet another fabulous year in the American show rings. She started the year by winning an impressive BOB at Westminster KC Show, not even two years of age. She won BOB at multiple shows during the year. She went BOB at the National Dog Show, a show that is broadcasted on national TV during Thanksgiving. She ended the year by winning BOB at the prestigious AKC Eukanuba National Championsihip in Orlando, Florida.

Ch. Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" won the Swedish Pharaoh Hound Club Derby with a Swedish LC CC in May. She even won a Finnish LC CC at the FCI European Coursing Championship in Finland. In the show rings, Penny finished her Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish and Danish Champion titles during the year.

Ch. Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" (exp. Finland) had a great year in the show rings as well as on the coursing fields and racing track. She won CC, CACIB, BOB and Group 4th at the Tallinn Winner show in Estonia, gaining the Tallin W-15 title. She also went to Tromsø INT KC show in Norway, going BOB with CC and CACIB. She also went Group 1st at two group shows. She became a Finnish, Estonian and Norwegian Champion during the year. She ended in 2nd place in stiff competition at the FCI European Coursing Championship, and a few months later she became a FCI European Track Racing Championship 2015 in Germany!

Isla ended the year as:

Top Winning Track Racing Pharaoh Hound in Finland 2015

Bazinga A Feast for Crows "Halla" has not been shown much during 2015, but has instead focused on other things... she passed all her exams and is a certified diabetic alert dog! Hats off to owner Henna-Kaisa Wigren for guiding Halla to this accomplishment! Halla was shown at the Winner Shows in December, and was Best Bitch 4th at the Helsinki Winner Show 2015 with the res-CC, and Best Bitch 2nd at the Finnish Winner Show with the CC and res-CACIB. She also won a big open class at the Finnish Pharaoh Hound Specialty, and finished as Best Bitch 4th with the res-CC among app. 30 bitches.

Storm, Sansa, Isla and Penny took part in the Bazinga Breeders Group that went Best In Show Breeder at the Strömsholm ("Skokloster") Summer Show in Sweden in July - one of the biggest Sighthound Specialaties worldwide!
