November 16th, Dogs4All, Norwegian Winner 2013, Lillestrøm

10 Pharaoh Hounds were entered at the Norwegian Winner Show in Lillestrøm, the biggest dog show of the year in Norway. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mona Selbach who placed Izzie as BEST BITCH 1st and BOS which means that Izzie can now add the title Norwegian Winner 2013 to her list of titles. Big congrats to Annica on Jake's BOB win.

I also showed the whippet Ch. Siprex Bera "Mocca" to BEST BITCH 1st and BEST OF BREED over 80 (!) Whippets under breed specialist Janet Wood from the UK. Mocca finished on an honourable Group 4th placement. Big congrats to Mocca's owner Jeanette Eggan! What a day!

November 10th, all breed show, Kongsberg

2 Pharaoh Hound puppies and over 300 puppies in total were entered at this all breed show in Kongsberg. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mrs. Annika Ulltveit-Moe, Norway. Sansa was shown for the last time in puppy class, and did very well by going BOB and later GROUP 3rd! Group judge was Mr. John Jakobsen, Norway.

Sansa's puppy career has been nothing short of amazing. In just 3,5 months of showing she has collected the following awards:

3 x BEST IN SHOW

3 x Runner Up BEST IN SHOW

5 x GROUP WINS

1 x BIS 4th

October 27th, all breed show, Letohallen

2 Pharaoh Hound puppies and over 180 puppies in total were entered the second day of this double all breed show weekend. Sansa continued her winning ways by going BOB and Group 1st under Mr. Pedro Sanches Delerue, Portugal! The Best In Show final was judged by Mr. Terje Lindstrøm, Norway, who placed Sansa as Reserve Best In Show (BIS 2nd)! What a weekend!

October 26th, all breed show, Letohallen

2 Pharaoh Hound puppies and over 200 puppies in total were entered at this all breed show in Letohallen, on the outskirts of Oslo. Breed judge was Mrs. Natalja Skalin, Sweden, who chose Sansa as her BOB-winner! Mrs. Skalin also judged Group 5 and placed Sansa as her Group Winner! Sansa topped the day off by going Reserve Best In Show (BIS 2nd) under Mr. Pedro Sanches Delerue from Portugal. What a day!

September 22nd, all breed puppy show, Rakkestad

About 150 puppies were entered at this well-arranged all breed puppy show. Sansa started out by winning BOB and Group 1st under Christina G. Johansen from Norway, and topped the day by going BEST IN SHOW! The BIS-final was judged by Christina G. Johansen and Ann Wiseman Stavdal from Norway, who both agreed that Sansa should win!

September 21st 2013, international LC-trial, Trøgstad

Today Izzie participated at the last LC-trial of the year in Norway. 3 PHs were competed and Izzie finished

September 8th 2013, national all breed show, Hundorp

Today both Sansa and Izzie were shown at an all breed national show in Hundorp, Norway. The breed was judged by Anne-Mari Haugsten from Norway. Sansa was BOB-puppy and Izzie was BOB. In the finals, Sansa Went on to win Group-1st and Best In Show 2nd under Mr. Rodi Hübenthal from Norway! There was a total of 105 puppies entered at this show.

September 7th 2013 All breed puppy show, Toten

Today Sansa was entered at an all breed puppy show in beautiful Toten. She won Best of Breed and went on to win Group 1st! In the Best In Show final, she placed Best In Show 4th! 55 puppies were entered under judge Britt Nyberg, Norway.

September 1st 2013 All breed puppy show, Flateby

2 PH pups and a total of 58 puppies were entered at this all breed puppy show. Sansa won Best of Breed and made it among the top 6 in the Best In Show final! The judge was Ann Wiseman Stavdal from Norway.

August 25th 2013, Oslo, Norway

9 Pharaoh Hounds were shown at Oslo INT Crufts-qualifying show under Mr. Karl-Erik Johansson from Sweden. Izzie won Best Bitch and BOS, and is qualified for Crufts! Sansa was unfortunately too young to be entered as there was only 6-9 months puppy class at this show.

August 24th 2013, The Norwegian Podenco Specialty

Our breed specialty has always been a blast, and this year's specialty was no exception! This year's judge was Mrs. Gabriela Veiga from Portugal who had a record entry of 65! We had lovely weather, great company and the show went very well for our part!

Snow (Bazinga A Clash of Kings) was BOS-puppy, shown for the first time. Penny (Bazinga A Game of Thrones) also made her debut in the show ring and did great with her owner Kristin on the other side of the lead, and ended up as BB-2 puppy, only beaten by her sister Sansa (Bazinga A Dance With Dragons) who won BOB-puppy! This was Sansa's third show and her third BOB-win!

Izzie won Best of Breed for the third year in a row! In the finals, Sansa followed in Izzie's footsteps and won BEST IN SHOW-puppy (like Izzie did four years ago)! This was Sansa's second Best Puppy In Specialty Show in less than a month. In the grown-up BIS, Izzie was placed as Best In Show-3!

August 2nd-4th

This weekend we travelled to Nesbyen in Hallingdal, Norway, to compete at a puppy show and a double national show. Sansa was BOB-puppy and later Group 4th under Mr. Branislav Rajic from Slovenia!

Izzie had a great weekend; On Saturday she won Best of Breed and Group 1st under breed specialist Mrs. Annette Bystrup, Denmark! She wasn't placed in BIS (judge was Sean Delmar), but I was so very pleased with the group win! Izzie is truly back in business after having had her first litter! The next day she won Best of Breed and Group 3rd under Mr. Rui Oliveira from Portugal.

July 30th 2013

Today was the Swedish Pharaoh Hound Derby in Stjärnhov. 13 Pharaoh Hounds were entered (6 males and 7 bitches). Izzie was on a shared first place after the first heat among the bitches, and ended up as 2nd best PH bitch! Congratulations to the winners!

July 28th 2013

Today Sansa made her debut in the show ring at the Swedish Pharaoh Hound Club 30-Year-Anniversary Specialty in Tammsvik. 5 puppies and about 30 adults were shown under breeder judge Mrs. Pam Haig, Mia Pharaohs, USA. Sansa won BOB-baby (4-6 months class) and later beat the male puppy from the 6-9 months class and won Specialty Best In Show-puppy! Izzie was 2nd Best Bitch in tough competition, and was invited to compete in Best Head & Expression as well as Best Movement. Izzie also won the prize for the best non-Swedish Pharaoh Hound. Sansa and Izzie won Best Brace.

July 13-14th 2013

This weekend we went to Nørresundby in Denmark for their Sighthound Specialty and lure coursing competition. 8 Pharaoh Hounds were entered to the show, and we got a change of judge to Vibeke Ellesøe, Denmark. This being Izzie's first show after having her litter, she was very excited to be back in the ring and showed off beautifully. She won Best Bitch with her third Danish Club CC, and later Best of Breed! I also showed a Whippet for the first time. Siprex Bera "Mocca" was BOB with CC and later BIS-1 working dog.  Congrats to my friend Jeanette! The BIS-finale was judged by Malgorzata Szmurlo from Poland. Izzie was placed Best In Show 4th!

On Sunday's lure coursing trial, Izzie ran two very nice heats and was placed 4/7. Thanks everyone for a great weekend in Denmark!

The puppies are here!

Izzie gave birth to two males and five females - the puppies are all doing perfectly fine, and Izzie is taking excellent care of her little miracles.

We are happy to announce that Izzie (C.I.B. NORD NOR SWE FIN DK Ch. JWW-10 WW-11 FRW-11 ECC-11 SBIS BISS BIF Mesmerizing Made In Heaven) has been mated to Jum-Jum (NORD NOR SWE FIN Ch. NO W-11 Antefa's Ultimatum). Pharaoh Hound puppies are expected around Easter. Summary of 2012:

Izzie has had yet another great year in the show ring and on the lure coursing field. In April she won BOB and LC CC at the International LC trial in Trøgstad, Norway, where she also became the first Pharaoh Hound in Scandinavia to win Best In Field! She also won a Danish LCCC at the LC trial in Gilleleje in September.

She started out her show year by winning seven straight BOB wins in Norway, including the Norwegian Podenco Specialty where she also won BEST IN SHOW for the second year in a row! She was also awarded BOB at Oslo International KC Show the following day. These two shows had the biggest PH entries last year.

Izzie has had a wonderful year abroad as well; In April we travelled to Vaasa INT. KC Show, Finland, where Izzie won BOB with CC and CACIB, and became a Finnish and Nordic Champion under breed specialist Mr. Jarmo Vuorinen. She was also Group 4th at this show.

Izzie was also shown three times in Denmark last year, which resulted in 3 BOB wins. At Bornholm INT KC Show Izzie was BOB with CC and CACIB and became a Danish Champion under breed specialist Mrs. Annette Bystrup. She was alsp Group 4th at this show. A few weeks later we went to the Danish Sighthound Specialty in Nørresundby, where Izzie not only was BOB, but also BEST IN SHOW 3rd! Her third Danish show was at the Sighthound Specialty in Gilleleje, where Izzie was BOB and BEST IN SHOW under Mr. Miklos Levente from Hungary!

Izzie was Norway's #2 LC Sighthound of the Year 2012 and #1 Top Winning Pharaoh Hound in conformation (breed system!) and #2 KC System (she was only entered at three KC Shows which resulted in 3 BOB wins).
