December 8-12th 2015, Orlando, Florida, USA

The Orlando/Eukanuba Cluster


Summer was BOB the first day of the Eukanuba cluster in Orlando, Florida, under Linda Hurlebaus. 11 PHs entered. She went BOS the next two days under Robert Indeglia and Sari Brewster Tietjen.


Summer finished off the cluster with a BEST OF BREED win at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship in top competition under Allen Odom!!!




December 5-6th 2015, Helsinki Winner & Finnish Winner Shows 2015, Finland

I brought Storm to Finland this weekend to participate at two of the biggest shows anywhere - the Helsinki Winner & Finnish Winner Shows in Helsinki, which always attract a top quality Pharaoh Hound entry.


On Saturday, 16 PHs were entered under Sighthound specialist Elisabet Janzon, Sweden. Storm went Best Male 1st and BOS with the Helsinki Winner 2015 title! His litter sisters living in Finland were also entered, and did great! Isla was Best Bitch 2nd, and Halla was Best Bitch 4th with the reserve CC, in a strong bitch entry.

On Sunday, 16 PHs were entered under Cristian Stefanescu, Romania. Halla went Best Bitch 2nd with the CC and reserve CACIB! Isla went Best Bitch 3rd. Congratulations, Henna-Kaisa & Emilia!


Halla was BB-4 at Helsinki Winner, and won the bitch CC and BB-2 at the Finnish Winner Show!

November 14th 2015, National Dog Show, Kennel Club of Philadelphia, USA

Summer had a great weekend at the Philadelphia cluster. She went BOB in a nice entry of 15 PHs under world-renowned all-rounder and Sighthound specialist Mr. Espen Engh at the National Dog Show on Saturday! This show will be broadcasted nationwide on Thanksgiving day on NBC. Summer also went BOB on Thursday under Mrs. Debra Thornton. Congratulations to Pam Haig & Robert Newman, and a special thanks to Grahm Miller for showing Summer to perfection.

October 31st-November 1st 2015, Herning 2 x INT KC shows + Danish Winner 2015, Denmark

This weekend we went to the double International KC shows in Herning, Denmark. What a weekend!


On Saturday, 13 PHs were entered under breed specialist Mrs. Annette Bystrup, Denmark. Storm went BM-3, Penny won the bitch reserve CC, and Sansa had a fabulous day in the ring - and went Best Bitch with the CC & CACIB, making her a brand new Danish & International (C.I.B.) champion! She even went Best of Breed! In the group finale, she showed her heart out and went Group 2nd in a super strong line-up! The total entry this day was over 4000 dogs!

On Sunday it was time for the Danish Winner Show 2015 (total entry of more than 4300 dogs!). 12 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mr. Esa Ruotsalainen, Finland. Storm went Best Male and Best of Breed with the Danish Winner 2015-title! His litter sisters didn't do bad either: Sansa went Best Bitch 2nd with the reserve CACIB, and Penny was Best Bitch 3rd with the CC, finishing her Danish Champion title!

October 17th 2015, Norwegian Winner Show 2015, Hamar, Norway

Sansa and Storm are brand new NORWEGIAN WINNERS 2015!!!

Ch. Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" won BEST OF BREED and Ch. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" went BOS at the Norwegian Winner Show today under Mr. Branislav Rajic, Slovenia. They have now taken over the throne after mommy Izzie, who has won this title two years in a row now. So proud of the Bazinga kiddos!

October 3rd 2015, Katrineholm, Sweden

13 Pharaoh Hounds (6 males and 7 females) competed at the last lure coursing trial in Sweden this year. Storm finished in 1st place among the males with his 3rd Swedish lure coursing CC this season!!! And Sansa finished in 2nd place among the bitches, also with her 3rd Swedish lure coursing CC this season! Way to go, kiddos!


September 26th 2015, NKK Rogaland INT, Norway

4 Pharaoh Hounds were shown at the International KC show in Rogaland, Norway. I had Storm and Penny entered - and they did very well! Storm ended up as Best of Breed and Group 4th, and Penny finished as Best Bitch and BOS, both with CACIB! Thanks to the breed judge Mr. Jose H. Mello, Portugal, and the group judge Mr. Per Harald Nymark, Norway.


September 20th 2015, Trøgstad, Norway

Storm and Penny competed at the International lure coursing trial "Høstprøven" in Trøgstad. Storm finished 1/2 with his 3rd Norwegian lure coursing CC this season! Penny finished 2/2.


September 12th 2015, Stjørdal, Norway

We attended the national lure coursing trial in Stjørdal, Norway. Storm had an amazing day on the field and was 1/3 with yet another lure coursing CC! Sansa was 2/3 and Penny was 3/3, all with great points!


August 22nd 2015, Specialty BEST IN SHOW at the Norwegian Podenco Specialty, Norway

Today we participated at the Norwegian Podenco Club 25-year anniversary specialty show for Pharaoh Hounds, Ibizan Hounds, Cirnechi, Podenco Canarios and all the Portuguese Podengo breeds. We had a record entry of 80 dogs, which were judged by Mr. Wim Wiersma, the Netherlands. Storm went Best of Breed, and continued on to win BEST IN SHOW-1 in the BIS-finale, where he competed against all the other breed winners. This was his 2nd Specialty BEST IN SHOW win this month!!! Penny was Best Bitch 2nd, and Sansa was Best Bitch 3rd.

August 16th 2015, Lure Coursing trial, Bjurholm, Sweden

6 Pharaoh Hounds were entered at the national lure coursing trial in Bjurholm in Northern Sweden. Unfortunately, only my three participated, but we had a wonderful, sunny day in great company. Sansa, Storm and Penny had a blast on the field and they all ran two excellent heats. Sansa was 1/3 with her second Swedish lure coursing CC in a row (she was 1/13 with her first Swedish LC CC last month!), Storm was 2/3, and Penny was 3/3. Thanks to VKLC Norra for an excellent trial.


August 2nd 2015, Finnish Pharaoh Hound specialty "Farkkushow" - Specialty Best In Show win for Storm!

55 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Gabriela Veiga, Portugal, at the official Finnish Pharaoh Hound specialty in Kaarina, making this the biggest Pharaoh Hound entry anywhere in the world this year. This was my first time at Farkkushow, and my, oh my, what a show! So well-organized, a lovely venue, lots of nice prizes, a huge ring which really allowed the dogs to show off their movement, and a lovely atmosphere. And most importantly: a lovely line-up of top quality Pharaoh Hounds representing many of the top winning breeders in Europe. 


Ch. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm"won a huge champion class with a fantastic critique, and continued on to win Best Male and later Best of Breed!!! In the competition against the BOB-winning Ibizan Hound wire (8 entries) and smooth (26 entries), Storm was awarded the Best In Show ribbon!


Ch. Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was 2nd in a huge champion class, and finished as Best Bitch 2nd with the Finnish CC, making her a brand new Finnish & Nordic Champion! What a nice way to finish her Finnish title! Ch. Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" was 4th in a huge champion class. Bazinga A Feast for Crows "Halla" won a huge open class, and finished as Best Bitch 4th in a lovely bitch line-up with the reserve CC! Congratulations to all the other winners, and thanks all for a lovely weekend.

August 1st 2015, International KC show, Pori, Finland

Ch. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" became kennel Bazinga's very first International Champion (C.I.B.) today! He finished his International title in style by going Best of Breed with CACIB under Kirsti Louhi, Finland, at the age of 2 years and 4 months! Sansa was Best Bitch 2nd with the resCC and resCACIB.


Meanwhile, my puppybuyers attended the unofficial PH specialty in Kaarina, Finland (50 PH entries). Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" was 2nd in working class with Prize of Honor under breed specialist Nancy Sowerbutts, USA. Isla was also invited to compete in Best Head & Expression and Best Movement, and she won Best Pharaoh Hound Brace with her buddy, Northgate's Platinum Edition "Sulo". Bazinga A Feast For Crows "Halla" was 3rd in a huge open class with Prize of Honour, and was also invited to compete in both Best Head & Expression and Best Movement.


July 30th-August 2nd, Canfield, Ohio, USA

GCh. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" attended the Canfield cluster in Ohio, and had a fabulous weekend! She won 3 x Best of Breed wins in a nice Pharaoh Hound entry (about 17-19 entries each day), and she even won 2 x Group 3rd! Congratulations to Summer's owners Pam Haig and Robert Newman, and well done to her talented handler Grahm Miller!


July 25-26th, Strömsholm, Sweden

On Saturday it was time for one of the biggest Sighthound specialties in the world: Strömsholm Summer Show (formerly known as Skokloster Summer Show). 26 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Sighthound specialist Dagmar Kenis Pordham, UK. Storm was Best Male 2nd, Isla was 3rd in champion class with CK and the reserve CC, Sansa was 4th in champion class with CK, and Penny was 6th in champion class with CK. Our Bazinga breeder's group was Best Breeder's Group (out of three groups in the breed), and Izzie's progeny group was Best Progeny Group (out of two groups in the breed). In Sunday's finales, kennel Bazinga went BEST IN SHOW Breeder's group under Dagmar Kenis Pordham - what a thrill! There were so many stunning groups in the finale! Izzie's progeny group went Best In Show 2nd!


On Sunday, the Swedish Pharaoh Hound & Cirneco dell'Etna Club held its unofficial specialty, "Stora Specialen". Judge this year was breed specialist (for both breeds), Jill Morris of kennel Anharbn, UK. 35 Pharaoh Hounds were entered. Storm won a very competitive champion class and finished as Best Male 1st and Specialty BOS! He has now won Specialty BOS three times in Sweden, and he is just 2 years of age! His first SBOS was at Lilla Specialen 2014 under breed specialist Annette Bystrup, Denmark, his 2nd SBOS in Sweden was at this year's official Swedish PH specialty "Lilla Specialen" under Sighthound specialist Björn Fritz, Germany, and now a 3rd SBOS under yet another breed specialist!


July 2015, lure coursing trial, Skåne, Sweden

Miss Sansa has every right to smile after a super day on the field in Southern Sweden! She ran two sizzling runs (the best she's ever run), and finished in 1st place among the bitches (1/6) with 26 (!) points more than the runner-up, and was ultimately BOB (1/13) with her first Swedish lure coursing CC! Storm had a splendid day as well, finishing in 1st place among the males (1/7) with 16 points ahead of the runner-up, and was finally 2nd in the breed (2/13) with his 2nd Swedish lure coursing CC, only beaten by sister Sansa. I love my dual purpose Bazinga bandits!



July 5th 2015, Trondheim International KC show, Norway

6 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Tino Pehar, Croatia. I had two PHs entered; Storm went Best of Breed with CACIB, and his sister Penny went Best Bitch and BOS with her first CACIB! Thanks to my friend Maiken for helping me out in the BOB-competition!


June 21st 2015, International KC show, Tromsø, Norway

Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" made a successful visit to her country of birth! She was shown at the International KC show in Tromsø, in Northern Norway. She won Best of Breed with CACIB and the Norwegian CC, making her a Norwegian Champion! Congratulations to owner/handler Emilia Kanerva!


June 21st 2015, Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialty, Tånga Hed, Sweden

Today 26 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Sighthound specialist Mr. Björn Fritz, Germany, at the official Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialty. I had Storm, Penny and Sansa entered, and they all did really well! Storm was Best Male and Specialty BOS for the second year in a row! Penny had to be moved to champion class as she finished her Swedish champion title the day before, so Emelie offered to show her as I had to show Sansa in the same class (thanks, Emelie!). Penny finished 2nd in champion class, and Sansa finished 3rd in champion class (among 6 champion bitches), and in the best bitch competition, Penny finished Best Bitch 2nd, and Sansa was Best Bitch 4th! Thanks to Josefin for showing Penny in the BB-competition.


Storm was invited to compete in Best Head & Expression, which he won! Storm, Sansa and Penny were all invited to compete in Best Movement. Thanks to Mariella for showing Sansa for me in the Best Movement competition.


Storm even won Best Brace together with his sire, Antefa's Ultimatum "Jum-Jum"! Congratulations to all the other winners, and thank you all for a lovely Midsummer weekend in Sweden! Pictures to come!


June 20th 2015, Swedish Sighthound Specialty, Tånga Hed, Sweden

16 Pharaoh Hounds were shown under Mrs. Rasma Ergle, Latvia. I only had Storm and Penny entered. Storm was Best Male 2nd, and Penny won her Swedish CC as well as Best Bitch and BOS, earning her Swedish & Nordic champion titles! Congratulations to Emelie on Poncha's BOB-win!


June 7th 2015, FCI European Coursing Championship 2015, Helsinki, Finland

Today was the big day! We have been waiting for this major event for months - 35 Pharaoh Hounds were entered (14 males and 21 bitches), making it an entry record for PHs at ECC. The dogs were judged by three different judges in each heat (two different fields), so each dog was judged by 6 judges in total. We had Storm, Sansa, Penny, Izzie (Team Norway) and Isla (representing Finland) entered from Team Bazinga, and they did not let me down!


Among the bitches, Isla finished in second place (silver medal) after having run an amazing second heat! Sansa finished in 6th place, Penny 9th and Izzie 11th - and all of them earned their Finnish lure coursing CCs! This CC made Izzie close her Finnish lure coursing championship, making her the very first Pharaoh Hound in history to become a lure coursing champion in ALL the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland)! Congratulations to Jan Scotland on Censina's ECC-title!


Among the males, Storm went all the way to first place (gold medal) and earned the title EUROPEAN COURSING CHAMPION 2015!!! He is my second generation European Coursing Champion, following in mummy Izzie's footsteps! 




June 6th 2015, Riihimäki, Finland

We attended Riihimäki national all breed show in Finland the day before the European Coursing Championship 2015. 6 Pharaoh Hounds were shown under Mr. Nenad Davidovic, Serbia. Storm was Best Male and Best of Breed, Penny was Best Bitch and BOS with the Finnish CC, making her a Finnish Champion! Sansa was Best Bitch 2nd with the reserve CC. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay for the group finale as we had to check in the dogs at the vet control for the European Coursing Championship in Helsinki in the afternoon.


May 17th 2015, Pharaoh Hound Derby, Norberg, Sweden

The annual Swedish Pharaoh Hound Derby was held at the International lure coursing trial in Norberg. 12 Pharaoh Hounds were entered, 9 competed. Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" made us all very proud by winning 1st place at the derby with a Swedish Lure Coursing CC! She even won the prize for Best Newcomer. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" was 4th and Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was 5th. A big thank you to all the generous derby sponsors!

May 16th 2015, Ruovesi, Finland

Today we celebrate Bazinga Champion #5: Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla"!

Isla was shown at Ruovesi Group Show where she won Best of Breed with her crowning CC, at her first try after turning two years, under Hilkka Salohalla. She went on to win Group 1st under Esa Ruotsalainen and Best In Show 2nd under Harri Lehkonen! She is now a Finnish and Estonian Champion. Huge congratulations to owner Emilia Kanerva in Finland!


May 9th 2015, Ålesund, Norway

5 Pharaoh Hounds were shown at the International KC show in Ålesund, Norway. I showed Storm and Sansa, who ended up as BOB and BOS, respectively, both with CACIB! Pharaoh Hound judge was Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari, Finland.


April 26th 2015, Letohallen, Norway

Kennel Bazinga's 4th champion!

Today Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" became the fourth champion in our A-litter! She won her crowning CC and wen Best of Breed under Sighthound specialist Mr. Timothy Finney, Ireland. Congratulations to Penny's co-owner Kristin! Our happy new champion:




April 25th 2015, International lure coursing trial, Trøgstad, Norway

Three Pharaoh Hounds were entered at the International lure coursing trial "Vårprøven" in Norway today. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" was 1/3 with  a Norwegian lure coursing CC! Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was 2/3, and Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" made her lure coursig debut and went 3/3 - all with nice and even points.





April 18th 2015, International lure coursing trial, Mariestad, Sweden

16 Pharaoh Hounds competed at this International lure coursing trial - 7 males and 9 bitches. Storm and Sansa made their lure coursing debut and did really well! Storm was 1/7 with a Swedish lure coursing CC!!! Izzie was 4/9 and Sansa was 6/9.


April 11th 2015, Bergen INT KC show, Norway

What a debut in champion class!

Just 2 years & 2 weeks old, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish & Finnish Champion, Finnish Winner'14, Westminster BOS'15 & SBIS Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" won Best of Breed & CACIB under Mr. Francesco Cochetti (Italy) and later GROUP 1st under Mrs. Eli-Marie Klepp (Norway) at Bergen International KC show in Norway! He is such a pleasure to show and always wagging his tail - I couldn't be a prouder breeder-owner-handler. Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was BOS with CACIB.




April 11th 2015, Tallinn Winner Show 2015 INT, Estonia

Bazinga  Song of Ice and Fire "Isla"  won Best of Breed with CC, CACIB and the title Tallinn Winner 2015 in Estonia today! She also was Group 4th in the afternoon. Huge congratulations to owner Emilia Kanerva!

 


April 4th 2015, Swedish Winner Show  2015, Stockholm, Sweden

Bazinga A Storm of Swords was Best Male 2nd with his crowning CC, thus gaining his Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Finnish champion titles! Baziga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was Best Bitch 3rd, also with her crowning CC, gaining her Swedish and Norwegian champion titles! Breed judge was Sighthound specialist Mrs.Gabriela Veiga, Portugal.




 


March 15th 2015, NKK Kristiansand INT KC show, Norway

Storm won BOB & Group 4th at yesterday's International KC show in Kristiansand, Norway. Thank you, Hanne Hjerpetjønn, for photographing him in the group! Not yet 2 years old, Storm has accomplished more than I could have imagined: Westminster BOS'15, Winners Dog PHCA National'14, Finnish Winner'14, Group Winner, BIS-placing, SBIS, SBOS, Number 1 Pharaoh Hound Norway'14, Number 11 among All Breeds Norway'14. He sure has taken the show scene by STORM!





February 22nd, 2015, NKK BØ International KC show, Norway

Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" won BOB with CACIB and later Group 2nd under Leila Kärkäs, Finland! Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was Best Bitch 2nd with R-CACIB.



February 16th 2015, 139th WESTMINSTER KC SHOW, New York, USA


America's most prestigious dog show - Westminster KC show - our first show of the year!

Storm and I made the trip all the way from Norway to participate at this iconic, world class event. We went for the experience - just to be there is an honor - and boy, did we get it! 12 specials (1 absent) and 1 class dog (Storm) were entered under Sighthound specialist Ms. Gayle Bontecou, USA. The line-up consisted of beautiful, top quality Pharaoh Hounds from the USA, Canada, Russia, Sweden and Norway.


Storm (Bazinga A Storm of Swords) surprised us all by going BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX with a MAJOR from the Bred-By Exhibitor class! This is the first time a Pharaoh Hound goes BOS from the classes at Westminster! Storm was breeder-owner-handle

As if that was not enough, Summer (Bazinga A Dream of Spring fo Mia) won BEST OF BREED - as the first Pharaoh Hound bitch to win the breed at Westminster in 10 (!) years! Thanks to Summer's handler and best friend, Grahm Miller, for doing such a beautiful job with her.

Littermates at 22 months of age - going BOB and BOS at Westminster - unbelievable! Every breeder's dream come true, for sure! Thanks to everyone who has supported us and congratulated us. February 7th 2015, Group show, Virolahti, Finland

We haven't started out show season yet, but our puppybuyer Emilia Kanerva and Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" (exp. Finland) attended their first show in 2015, and what a start they had! Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Ms. Maija Sylgren, Finland, who awarded Isla Best of Breed and CC! Isla went on to win GROUP 1st under Mr. Esa Ruotsalainen, Finland, and BEST IN SHOW 2nd under Mr. Tapio Eerola. Huge congratulations, Emilia and Isla!!!
