December 9-14th, Orlando, USA & Stockholm, Sweden

AKC Ch. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" was shown four days at the Orlando Cluster, which resulted in 2 x Select under Keke Kahn and Sharon Krogh, 1 x Best of Breed under Timothy Catterson and 1 x BOS under Catherine Bell at the AKC Eukanuba National Championship! Expertly handled by her best friend Grahm Miller. Summer is now a finished AKC Grand Champion, at just 20 months of age!

While Summer defended the Bazinga honor in the USA, we went to the Swedish Winner Show in Stockholm. 18 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Per Iversen, Norway. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" won open class and was finally placed as Best Male 2nd with the Swedish CC! Sansa was 2nd in Intermediate, and Penny was 1st in open class, both with Excellent.

 

December 7th 204 Helsinki, Finland

Finnish Winner Show 2014: The second winner show in Helsinki this weekend. Today there was a total entry of around 7000 dogs - Finland's biggest show of the year (except for the WDS). 19 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Anneli Pukkila (Sternhimmels Basenjis), Finland.

 

Storm was the only Bazinga dog entered today, and he represented us well by winning Best Male, CC, CACIB, BOS and the Finnish Winner 2014-title!

December 6th 2014 Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki Winner Show 2014: One of the biggest shows anywhere, with a total of 6700 dogs entered.

16 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Elina Haapaniemi, Finland. Bazinga had three representatives present:

 

Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire was second in Intermediate class with excellent and CK.

Bazinga A Storm of Swords won open class with excellent and CK, and was Best Male 2nd.

Bazinga A Feast For Crows, despite having been shown only twice before, behaved like a pro in the ring and went all the way to BEST BITCH with CC and CACIB and finally BEST OF BREED! She can now add the title Helsinki Winner 2014 to her name. Huge congratulations to owner Henna-Kaisa Wigren!!!

November 20th 2014

We are proud to inform that Summer (Am Ch. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia) has received two invitations to Westminster KC 2015, one for being a top 5 Pharaoh Hound and the other for winning SBIS at the National Specialty 2014! Way to go, team Summer!

 


 

November 14-16th 2014, Norwegian Winner Show & Nordic Winner Show, Lillestrom, Norway

One of the highlights of the year - the Norwegian Winner Show 2014 - had a record entry of over 6000 entered dogs! 10 Pharaoh Hounds were shown under Mrs. Jacki Jackson, South Africa. Izzie made a guest appearance in the ring and surely made the most out of it! She won the champion class and went on to win Best Bitch and Best of Breed! She can now add the title Norwegian Winner 2014 to her name (and it's the second year in a row that she earns this title). Storm was Best Male 2nd with the CC! Sansa was Best Bitch 3rd with the reserve CC, and Penny was Best Bitch 4th. In other words, all our four entered dogs were placed!

On Sunday it was time for the Nordic Winner Show. 9 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mr. Per Lundström, Sweden. I only had Storm and Penny entered this day. Storm was Best Male 2nd once again, and earned his 30th CC!!! He now has 2 Finnish CCs, 3 Swedish CCs, 3 Danish CCs and 22 Norwegian CCs. Not bad for a 19-month-old boy! Penny was Best Bitch 3rd with the reserve CC!

 

October 19th 2014, Hailuoto, Finland

The last lure coursing competition of the year in Finland, and Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" competes for the second time in lure coursing. She finished in 1st place with her second lure coursing CC! Congratulatons, Emilia & Isla!

 

October 5th 2014, Harstad, Norway

Storm was shown at Harstad International KC show in Northern Norway. In an entry of 4 Pharaoh Hounds, he won BOB with CC and CACIB, and finally Group 4th under Mr. Svein Bjarne Helgesen, Norway!

 

October 4th 2014, Helsinki, Finland

The last racing competition of the year in Finland, and Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" makes her debut on the racing track in style by winning 1st place with her first racing CC! She finished with a fabulous time - 35.85 seconds (480 meters), very close to the breed record! Congratulations, Emilia & Isla!

September 28th, Helsinki, Finland & Trøgstad, Norway

The Bazinga A-litter turned 18 months today, which means that they are finally old enough to get their lure coursing license in Norway and to compete in lure coursing in Finland. Well, we're not known for wasting time... So, today Storm (Bazinga A Storm of Swords), Sansa (Bazinga A Dance With Dragons) and Penny (Bazinga A Game of Thrones) earned their lure coursing license!


And in Finland, their sister Isla (Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire) made her debut at the International LC-trial in Helsinki and won BOB (1/6) with her first lure coursing CC!!! Congratulations to Isla's owner Emilia!

 

September 21st, Finland

Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" won Best of Breed and CC at a group show in Finland under Mrs. Tuula Savolainen. Congratulations, Emilia!

 

September 21st, Trøgstad, Norway

Today Izzie competed at the International lure coursing trial in Trøgstad, Norway. She proved her versatility once again and won Best of Breed with her crowning CC, making her a brand new NORDIC LURE COURSING CHAMPION! This champion title includes the three LC-champion titles of Norway, Sweden and Denmark. She is the 2nd Pharaoh Hound in history to earn this title! Needless to say, I am very proud and excited about this win!

 

Izzie is now officially known as C.I.B. Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish & Danish Ch., Nordic LC Ch, Jun.WorldWinner-10, WorldWinner-11, European Coursing Champion-11, NorwegianW-13, SBIS, BISS, BIF Mesmerizing Made In Heaven a.k.a. "Busy Izzie" :)

Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was second in a big Open Class.

 

Ch. Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" won SPECIALTY BEST IN SHOW with a 5-point Grand Champion major! As if that wasn't enough, she went on to win Group 1! She is the first Pharaoh Hound bitch to win BOB at the National in 7 (!) years! Not bad for a 17-month old.

15 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mr. Markku Mähönen, Finland, at the Danish Sighthound Specialty in Roskilde. Storm was Best Male 2nd with his third Danish CC! In the finale, he was BIS 2nd intermediate.

August 24th 2014, Santa Barbara, USA - Bazinga's first CHAMPION!

Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" won Best of Breed from the classes over several Best In Show winning specials, with her second Major, and gained her American Championtitle (AKC Champion)! Summer is Kennel Bazinga's very first homebred champion, and made breed history by becoming the first Norwegian bred Pharaoh Hound to win the AKC Champion title. Way to go, Summer!

August 17th 2014, Gjerdrum, Norway

One of the highlights of the year, the Norwegian Podenco Specialty, was held today, with a record entry of 79 dogs! This is the Norwegian Podenco Club's specialty show for Pharaoh Hound, Cirneco dell'Etna, Podenco Canario, Ibizan Hounds and all the Podengo Portugues breeds. Judge this year was Mr. Rudi Brandt, kennel Frontrunner's.

 

Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" was shown for the third time, and was Best Bitch 2nd with her third CC! Her dam Mesmerizing Made In Heaven "Izzie" was shown for the first time in Norway this year and won Best Bitch and BOS. She was only deafeated by her son, Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm", who won Best Male with the CC and Best of Breed! In the finals, he was placed as BEST IN SHOW 4th!

 

August 16th 2014, Oslo, Norway

Today we went to Oslo International KC show, Norway's second biggest show of the year, with around 3500 entries in total. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Manuel Loureiro Borges from Portugal. Sansa won Best Bitch, CC and BOS, and Storm was Best Male, CC, CACIB and BOB! They both received a Crufts qualification as well!

 

The group was judged by Mr. Horst Kliebenstein from Germany. Storm showed very well and ended up as Group 2nd in stiff competition! He is currently ranked as #6 Dog of The Year in Norway, all breeds!

 

July 26-27th 2014, Tammsvik, Sweden & Helsinki, Finland

Finally it was time for one of our annual highlights - the "Skokloster weekend" in Sweden!

On Saturday, the official Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialty was held. Judge was Sighthound specialist Mrs. Karin Hedberg, Sweden, who had 38 PH entries. Sansa was 2nd in junior class with CK, and was among the last 6 finalists in Best Bitch. Storm won intermediate class with CK, and was later Best Male 2nd in stiff competition, with another Swedish CC! He also won BIS Intermediate. He was also invited to compete in Best Movement and WOW factor.

 

The next day it was time for the Skokloster Summer Show, a Sighthound specialty that every Sighthound fancier should experience. Edna K. Martin from the USA had an entr of 34 Pharaoh Hounds. Storm was second in a big junior class with CK. Sansa won intermediate class with CK and won the reserve CC!

 

At an all breed show in Helsinki, their littersister Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" won Best of Breed with another CC! Congratulations to her owner Emilia!

 

July 18-19th 2014, SKK Askersund and SKK Köping International KC Shows, Sweden

This weekend we travelled to Sweden to participate at the International KC shows in Askersund and Köping.

 

On Saturday's show in Askersund, Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Rodi Hübenthal from Norway. Storm won Best Male with CACIB and his 23rd CC and later BEST OF BREED! Sansa was Best Bitch 2nd with R-CC and R-CACIB.

 

The next day we went to Köping where the Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Andras Korozs from Hungary. Storm was Best Male 2nd with R-CC and R-CACIB and Sansa was Best Bitch with CACIB and CC!

 

 

July 11th 2014, Skien all breed show, Norway

I only had Storm entered at this national all breed show, and we only showed on the first day of this three day cluster. He won Best of Breed with his 22nd CC! He later won Group 4th! Breed and group judge was Victor Lobakin from Azerbaijan.

 

 

July 5th 2014, Trondheim International KC Show, Norway

Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Tom Johnston from the UK. Storm won Best Male with the CC, his first CACIB and Best of Breed! Sansa was Best Bitch 2nd with the CC and R-CACIB.

 

Storm was placed as Group 4th under Mr. Dan Ericsson from Sweden in the finals!

 

 

June 21st-22nd 2014, Vejen double International KC Show, Denmark

This weekend we went to Denmark and the double International KC show in Vejen. On Saturday Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Sighthound specialist Mr. Rudi Brandt, Denmark, who had 9 entries. Storm won junior class and went on to win Best Male and the Danish CC! Sansa won the reserve CC and placed as Best Bitch 3rd. Storm continued on to win Best of Breed!

 

On Sunday 10 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mrs. Wera Hübenthal, Norway. Once again Storm won the junior class and was later Best Male 2nd with another Danish CC, his 20th CC!. Sansa once again won the reserve CC and placed as Best Bitch 3rd. Also, Storm got qualified for Crufts! He now has CCs from all the Nordic countries, at the tender age of 14 months!

 

June 15th 2014, Tromsø International KC Show, Norway

This weekend we travelled up to Northern Norway to participate at the International KC show in Tromsø. Despite the freezing cold and rain, Storm showed well and won Best of Breed with his 18th CC from junior class under Mr. Attila Czegledi, Hungary! He finished the day by going Group 2nd under Mr. Rodi Hübenthal, Norway!

June 14th 2014, California, USA

Summer was shown at an all breed show in California and won Best of Breed from the classes!

 

June 7th 2014, Norwegian Sighthound Specialty, Gran, Norway

Today I only had Storm entered at the Norwegian Sighthound Specialty in Gran. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Gabriel Valdez, Colombia, who placed Storm as Best of Breed with his 17th CC from junior class!

June 1st 2014, The Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialty, Ljungbyhed, Sweden

Straight after the show in Drammen, we headed to the south of Sweden to participate at the Pharaoh Hound Specialty "Lilla Specialen". 21 Pharaoh Hound were entered under breed specialist Annette Bystrup from Denmark. Storm started out by winning the junior class and continued his winning ways in the best male competition, where he went to the top - Best Male! Sansa was first in junior class bitches and was finally placed as Best Bitch 2nd! I couldn't be happier about their placements! They both got tickets to compete in best head and expression and best movement.

May 31st 2014, Drammen International KC Show, Norway

Storm and Sansa did well under Anne McDonald, Scotland, at the International KC show in Drammen today, earning a CC each and by winning Best Male and Best Bitch 2nd, respectively.

 

May 10-11th 2014, Hamina and Helsinki, Finland

This weekend Storm and I flew to Finland hoping for a Finnish CC, but little did we know what the weekend had in store for us!

 

On Saturday Storm was shown at Hamina International KC Show under breed specialist Sofie Lönn (Sweden). Storm won Best of Breed with the Finnish CC and my Finnish export Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" was Best Bitch 2nd with CC! The group was judged by Juha Putkonen (Finland) who placed Storm as Group 3rd!

 

The following day we drove to Helsinki to compete at the International "Royal Canin" Dog Show. 11 Pharaoh Hounds (4+7) were shown under Leila Kärkäs (Finland). Storm started out by winning the junior class with CK and went on to win Best Male and his second Finnish CC! In junior class bitches, my Finnish export Bazinga A Feast for Crows "Halla" was shown for the first time in official classes and did very well going second in the class with excellent and CK! She later was placed as Best Bitch 4th with the reserve CC. Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire was fourth in junior class with excellent.

Bazinga A Feast for Crows "Halla" (exp. Finland) was shown for the first time in official classes and did very well going Best Bitch 4th with reserve CC!

 

In the BOB-competition Storm competed against his beautiful 9,5-year-old veteran aunt, Ch. Siphra's Calluna KissMIa "Mia". Storm was BOB and Mia was BOS. Storm was also BOB-junior.

 

The junior finals consisted of a huge line-up. Storm made the first, second and third cut and was ultimately placed as BEST IN SHOW 2nd jr. under Frank Kane (United Kingdom). What a thrill!

I was very pleased with this win and did not have any expectations for the group finals. Anyways, Storm made the the first and second cut in the group and surprised us all by actually winning GROUP 1st! His second group win at International KC shows from junior class! The group was judged by Leila Kärkäs (Finland).

The Best In Show line-up consisted of some truly stunning dogs. Storm continued showing like a star and went BEST IN SHOW 3rd over 2600 entries! Not bad for a 13-month-old silly clown like Storm :)

May 4th 2014, NKK Ålesund, Norway

This weekend we travelled up north to the International KC Show in Ålesund. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Marianne Holmli, Norway, who placed Storm as Best of Breed with his 13th CC from junior class! Sansa was shown for the first time after her injury and was placed as Best Bitch 2nd with her 11th CC. In the afternoon's group final, Storm was shortlisted from a nice line-up of dogs. Not bad for such a young boy :) The group was judged by Theo Leenen, Belgium.

 

April 25-27th 2014, Chino, California, USA

Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" was Winners Bitch with a major at The Pharaoh Hound Club of America Western Specialty! She was also Best In Sweepstakes. At both the Supported Entry shows she went Reserve Winners Bitch. Not bad for such a young girl! Congratulations, Pam and Robert!

April 19th 2014, Imatra, Finland

8 Pharaoh Hounds were entered at Lappeenranta International KC Show in Finland under Mrs. Myrna Shiboleth from Israel. Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" won junior class with CK and ended up as Best Bitch 2nd with her first CC! Congratulations to the proud owner Emilia Kanerva!

 

April 5th 2014, Bergen, Norway

We travelled to Western Norway to participate at Bergen International KC show, the third KC show in Norway this year. It was a long, but beautiful drive. Sunshine all day long and beautiful fjords and mountains along the way :)

 

Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Paul Stanton from Sweden. Sansa was Best Bitch and BOS with her 10th CC and Storm won Best of Breed with his 12th CC, both from junior class! In the group competition, Storm made the cut in strong lineup and was finally placed as Group 4th! This was his second group placement (he now has BIG-1 and BIG-4) at International KC shows this year, and he is just 12 months old. He is obviously full of surprises :) The group was also judged by Mr. Paul Stanton.

March 30th 2014, Letohallen, Norway

Bazinga A Dance With Dragons won Best of Breed with another CC under Mrs. Colette Muldoon from Ireland. Bazinga A Storm of Swords was BOS with CC.

Happy 1st birthday to our A-litter: Sansa, Storm, Snow and Penny in Norway, Halla and Isla in Finland and Summer in the USA!

 

March 21st-23rd 2014, USA

Summer was Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners with another point on Friday. She was also Best Puppy and  Group 3rd in the puppy group! On Saturday she was Reserve Winners Bitch, and she ended the weekend in style by going BOS over specials on Sunday, gaining a couple of more points.

 

March 15th-16th 2014, Kristiansand, Norway

On Saturday Storm and Sansa were shown at Kristiansand International KC Show in Southern Norway. Sansa was Best Bitch 2nd and Storm was BEST OF BREED, both with CCs. The group consisted of a very nice and rather big line-up. Storm surprised us all by winning Group 1st! Not bad for an 11-month-old silly Pharaoh Hound boy :) Breed and group judge was Mr. Karl P. Reisinger, Austria. Storm was not placed in the BIS final, but he looked very nice! Thanks to Victoria for handling him in the BIS. I couldn't show him myself as I had been working in another ring on Sunday.

March 1st 2014, national show Letohallen, Norway

Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" was shown for the second time in official class and won her second CC! She also won Best of Breed, BOB-junior and was shortlisted in the BIS-junior finals. Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" was BOS with yet another CC. Breed judge was Mr. Francesco Cochetti, Italy.

 

February 22nd 2014, Bazinga news from several corners of the world!

 

In the USA Bazinga A Dream of Spring for Mia "Summer" made her show debut by going Winners Bitch with her first AKCpoint towards her title! According to her handler, she showed like a rock star :) Congratulations to Pam, Robert and handler Grahm!

 

In Finland Bazinga A Song of Ice and Fire "Isla" was shown for the first time in official class. She won Best Bitch 4th and reserve CC from junior class in an entry of 16 Pharaoh Hounds under Mr. Mark Cocozza, UK. Congratulations, Emilia!

 

In Norway Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" went Best Male with CC and BOS at Bø International KC Show under Mr. Jørgen Hindse, Denmark. Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was Best Bitch 2nd with CC!

 

February 8-9th 2014, Exporama double national all breed show, Norway

On Saturday Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mr. Freddie Klindrup, Denmark. Storm won BOS with his 6th CC and Sansa won Best of Breed, also with her 6th CC! In the group final, Sansa showed very nicely and earned her second group placement in just two weeks - a Group 4th! The group was also judged by Mr. Freddie Klindrup.

 

Sunday turned out to be a special day... Sansa got a well-deserved day off while I instead showed Bazinga A Game of Thrones "Penny" for the first time! Penny behaved like a pro; stacked and moved nicely and was so happy and outgoing in the ring. She won BOS with her first CC while her brother Storm won Best of Breed with his 7th CC! In the group he earned his very first group placement - Group 3rd - under Mr. Kim Vigsø Nielsen, Denmark, who also judged the breed.

On Sunday the tables were turned: Sansa won Best of Breed and Storm was BOS, both with lovely critiques and their fifth CCs! Sansa ended up as Group 3rd in a strong and competitive group, not even 10 months old! January 18th 2014, Langesund national all breed show, Norway

Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was BB-2 with her third CC, and her brother Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" decided that today was going to be HIS day and went BEST OF BREED with his third CC and finally ***BEST IN SHOW-1 junior*** in a HUGE line-up under Mrs. Rita Reyniers, Belgium! Way to go, Storm!

January 3rd-4th 2014, MyDOG 2 x International, Gothenburg, Sweden

This weekend we travelled to Gothenburg, Sweden, to compete at the double International KC show called "MyDOG". There were about 4000 entries at each show. On Friday there were 16 Pharaoh Hounds entered under Mr. Harry Tast, Finland. This was Sansa and Storm's second official show, and they did great!

Storm started out by winning the junior class males with Excellent and CK with a lovely critique from the judge. In the tough Best Male competition, Storm was placed as Best Male 2nd with the Swedish CC!

Sansa didn't want to be outdone by her brother, so she strutted her stuff like never before, winning the junior class bitches with Excellent and CK, and topping off the day by winning BEST BITCH with the Swedish CC in very stiff competition! She ended up as BOS. Not bad for a couple of 9-month-old "puppies" :)

On Sunday there were 17 entered Pharaoh Hounds with a few absentees. Breed judge was Mrs. Annika Ulltveit-Moe. Storm won the junior class once again, with Excellent! Sansa got Excellent, CK and was placed as Best Bitch 3rd!

 

 

December 29th 2013, national all breed "Christmas show", Letohallen

Today I'm probably the PROUDEST breeder in the world!

Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" and Bazinga A Storm of Swords "Storm" (9 months & 1 day old) were shown for the very first time in junior class at the all breed national "Christmas show" outside Oslo (total entry app. 1500 dogs). 5 Pharaohs were judged by Mr. Leif Lehmann Jørgensen (Denmark) who placed Storm as BEST MALE with his first CC and BOS! Sansa surprised us all by winning BEST BITCH, beating champions, with her first CC, and BEST OF BREED! Thanks to everyone who cheered for us ringside, and a special thanks to Cornelia Undheim for handling Storm in the BOB-competition!

What a great end to a great year!
