October 2017, International KC Show in Harstad, Norway

Bazinga Dracarys The Deathstroke "Sandy" went all the way to Best In Show puppy at the International KC Show in Harstad in Northern Norway! Breed judge was Per Kristian Andersen (NOR), group judge Mats Jonsson (SWE) and BIS-judge Marja Talvitie (FIN). This was Sandy's second show, and her second Best In Show Puppy win!

Bazinga Behold The Dragon's Inferno "Santana" was shown in intermediate class for the first time and won BOS with her first CACIB! Bazinga A Dance With Dragons "Sansa" was BB-3, and Mesmerizing Made In Heaven "Izzie" was BB-4, BOB-veteran and later Best In Show-2 Veteran!

September 24th, International LC trial, Hvam, Norway

Ch. Mesmerizing Made In Heaven "Izzie" ended her wonderful lure coursing career at the International LC-trial (the largest trial in Norwegian coursing history!) in Hvam today by winning 1st place at 8,5 years of age!!!

Izzie started out her coursing career with a bang, winning the gold medal at the European Coursing Championship in the Netherlands in 2011, at two years of age, just a week after she became a World Winner in the show ring. She later became the very first (and is still the only) Pharaoh Hound to become a LC Champion in all the Nordic Countries (Norway, Sweden, Denmark & Finland)! From her first litter, I kept three puppies - Storm, Penny & Sansa - all of whom have won the gold medal at European Coursing Championships - in Finland 2015, Slovakia 2016 and Switzerland 2017, respectively. Now we can't wait to see how her second litter will do on the fields when they are old enough. Izzie - you are amazing!🌟

On Thursday, Sept. 7th, it was time for the 2017 Pharaoh Hound Club of America National Specialty, held in NJ this time around. 50 Pharaoh Hounds were entered under Mr. Hal T. Biermann (USA).

The Swedish Pharaoh Hound Derby was held for the 7th year in a row - a tradition we intend on keeping alive!

Sansa finished in 2nd place, and Penny finished 5th. Their mom Izzie competed for the last time, as she turned 8 years earlier this year (they can only compete through the year they turn 8 years), and was in 1st place after the first heat, and finally finished in 3rd place and was Best Veteran at the derby. A nice way to finish her "derby career". Huge congratulations to Annica / kennel Antefas on Jade's Derby Win!

22 Pharaoh Hounds were entered at the famous Strömsholm Summer Show, formerly known as "Skokloster Summer Show", now re-located to the Strömsholm Castle. Pharaoh Hounds were judged by Mrs. Wilfriede Schwerm-Hahne from Germany.

Bazinga Catniss The Girl On Fire "Catniss" made her show debut at the tender age of 4,5 months, and won BOB Baby with a lovely critique.  Bazinga Baratheon Of Dragonstone "Harvey" won Best Male 2nd with the CC and BOB-junior. Ch. Bazinga A Game Of Thrones "Penny" won a huge champion class, and placed as Best Bitch 3rd. Ch. Mesmerizing Made In Heaven "Izzie" - our veteran - won BEST BTCH and BOS at 8 years and 4 months! She also won BOB-veteran, and placed as Best In Show 3rd Veteran in Sunday's finals.

24 PHs were entered at the official Swedish Pharaoh Hound Specialty in Tånga Hed under Sighthound specialist Bjørg Foss. Santana was Best Bitch 4th with the reserve CC and finally Best In Show Junior! Her brother, Harvey, was BOS Junior. Sansa was Best Bitch 5th. Izzie made her debut in veteran class and ended up as Best Bitch 3rd and Best In Show Veteran! :-)

This weekend I flew down to England to see dear English export Zookie (Bazinga Bazooka The Dragonslayer) and her owner Alina again, and to compete at the Pharaoh Hound Club Championship Show, which was judged by breed specialist Mrs. Bernadette Stoneham. This was Zookie's very first show, so we were absolutely thrilled when she went all the way to Best Puppy, Best Bitch with the CC (!!!) and Reserve Best In Show! Huge congratulations to Zookie's owner, Alina Svald!
